Itâs Thanksgiving, so there is no better time to give âthanksâ for all that we have. No doubt that while working in a startup, weâre faced with many joys and many challenges, maybe more challenges than weâd like in our lives. However, take this opportunity, if you havenât already, to be thankful for all that you have -most importantly, for having the âchoiceâ to be an entrepreneur. Personally, I need this time to remind myself of this. This year, there have been a particularly large number of obstacles- or as I like to think- problems that require creative solutions. As an entrepreneur, this is my job- to solve Wicked
I am grateful for all the opportunities afforded to me and the choices that Iâve been able to make, even if they havenât been the optimal decisions. Maybe you can relate? I donât know what the future holds but Iâm a hopeless romantic- I mean optimist. In one of the many business and philosophy books that I devoured this year, Iâm reminded of âThank You Power
,â a book written by journalist Deborah Norville. âBeginning with the regular practice of counting one's blessings and feeling thankful for them, one can become healthier, happier, smarter, and more resilient [in life].â Donât forget, there is a positive force that comes through in our every day decision-making simply by acknowledging the 'good things' in life.
