Before volunteering with SCORE, I ran a business that specialized in assisting startups with setting up their finances, selecting appropriate accounting software, and provided professional bookkeeping, and tax preparation when needed. I particularly enjoyed assisting my clients with managing their cashflow and setting up systems to manage their self-employment and payroll taxes.
During the pandemic, I witnessed many businesses, business owners and their families suffer terribly because they did not have contingency planning for such a catastrophe.
