Tom spent 21 years working at Chiat/Day, “the hottest advertising agency in the country”. Working with some of the best and biggest brands in the world, such as Nissan Motors and Pizza Hut, Tom learned marketing from clients like Apple Computer Founder, Steve Jobs, Phil Knight, founder of Nike, Inc., and Steve Reinemund, CEO of PepsiCo Worldwide.

Retiring in 1998 as President and Worldwide Account Director at Chiat/Day, Tom had helped his advertising agency grow from $30 million to over $100 million a year, and was directly involved in the sale of the agency two years earlier to Omnicom, one of the largest ad agencies in the world.

For the past 11 years, Tom has been volunteering his time and giving marketing presentations for the Orange County Chapter of SCORE, sitting down face-to-face with more than 1,000 small business owners and entrepreneurs with start-up micro-budgets.
