As a small business entrepreneur that has successfully shepherded independent retail and wholesale concerns to profitability in a dynamic and competitive industry, I can offer support in creative thinking and in identifying challenges that may or may not have been anticipated. My resilience has been shaped through adaptability and a willingness to experiment with new strategies. In the context of managing retail brick and mortar stores, my strengths are in Marketing, Human resources, Operations, Consumer Behavior and Customer Relations. I served for a number of years on the Chapel Hill / Carrboro Chamber of Commerce. I currently serve on the Black Mountain Planning Board, I volunteer with the Community Garden and Bounty and Soul - Growing and distributing vegetables, and at the Children's Home Thrift Shop.
