“Her recommendation was some of the best advice I have ever received,” Lee says, “And due to that one recommendation I’ve been able to start my own business.” His latest entrepreneurial venture is My One Page Site, a service that helps entrepreneurs and professionals bridge the gap between traditional and untraditional website design services. “If I didn’t meet with SCORE 10 years ago, I may have never acquired the skills I now have regarding websites and online businesses,” he says.
During his sessions with volunteer mentor Judith Edwards, who recommended a company called SiteSell, which offered training for building a successful website for an online business. “Not only did my wife and I go on to build two successful websites,” Lee says. “I went on to become a top affiliate sales rep with SiteSell, which eventually led to me working for this company full time.”
Douglas Lee first met SCORE in 2007, when he wanted to set up an online business website. He was struggling to gather the financial resources to hire a web development company to build his site.
Lee’s business, E-Business Experts, helps small businesses, entrepreneurs, and professionals succeed online. Alongside one-on-one consulting, he conducts training workshops and seminars to help small business owners more effectively utilize their businesses.
