Electronics Manufacturer Expands Offerings, Creates New Jobs

"Last Spring, another SCORE mentor and I were contacted by the president of a established manufacturing company in Indianapolis. She wanted mentors to help her grow her business which was in electronics. My colleague was experienced in her field and I supplied the marketing advice.

After six months, she has purchased new equipment at a cost of $300,000 and is prepared to hire 8-10 new workers as the new segment of the business grows. We met with her at the SCORE office and also at her plant every two weeks.

I believe this business will be successful even though the competition is significant because she has chosen a unique niche with good growth potential."
