Dance Studio Builds Confidence, Brand and Business

“A dance studio in the area was referred to SCORE through another business already being served by a SCORE mentor. The business is a part-time effort of the owner today, but she has a vision for much more. The studio has been successful for the past 18 years but has not grown. The owner’s vision is to become more local regional and national brand. The Mentor quickly learned that the owner was not comfortable charging for performances. After more discussions, the Mentor learned the owner lacked confidence in her business knowledge and was looking for a sounding board to run her ideas past. Over the past few months through the owner’s efforts, the dance team landed a paid performance with a regional restaurant chain, has been asked to cheer for some local professional sports teams, filmed commercials and visited other states looking to expand.”
