Mario Ruiz is a young small business person who has distinguished himself in a manner that SCORE seldom experiences. Mario (19 years old when he asked for SCORE's help, currently 20) performed all of the tasks associated with creating a business in 2 1/2 months. Astounding.

SCORE's first meeting with Mario was in early January 2011. The second meeting included his Mom and Dad and one of his sisters. He opened up a Kiosk in Lindale Mall in mid-March which he operates under the name of CReations. Mario is a gifted artist, extremely quick with software programs and very creative in overcoming business obstacles. And, hardworking. He has only been in business for one month but this young man is already on the path to success, looking to add locations and employees. SCORE seldom gets a small business person who responds to 'suggested things that need to done' as fast a Mario. He is one in a thousand and the kind of young, new business person that America needs more of.

Interestingly, Mario had no financial resources with which to get a bank loan but his parents obtained a $25K line of credit for him when they saw how serious he was about performing all of the tasks associated with forming the business. Mario is using this line-of-credit very wisely and effectively. Parents with confidence, a young person with drive. Exceptional in the small business community..and what often results in larger successful companies.
