Marilyn Tam, Former Aveda CEO, International Speaker and Author, Shares Expertise on SCORE Women’s Success Blog in June

Tam rose through the ranks of the international business world to become an influential corporate leader, speaker, consultant, author and humanitarian. Her business career includes prominent executive roles at several world-renowned corporations, such as CEO of Aveda, president of Reebok Apparel and Retail Group, and vice president of Nike.

Tam was awarded The Reebok Human Rights Award for her humanitarian work. She is the founder and executive director of the Us Foundation, whose mission is to support global action plans and dialogue to address social, economic and environmental issues.

In 2003, Tam’s international selling book, “How to Use What You’ve Got to Get What You Want,” was published. She wrote it to share her insights and experience on how to succeed in business and life as another way of giving back to the community. She is the founder and executive director of the Us Foundation. Tam is a co-visioneer of Healthwalk in Carlsbad, Calif. She currently serves on the SCORE Board of Directors.
