SCORE Vice President Christine Banning of Gaithersburg, Md. Joins SCORE Women’s Success Blog

Association Leader Offers Wealth of Marketing & Brand Management Expertise

Washington, D.C.—SCORE “Counselors to America’s Small Business” announces Christine Banning of Gaithersburg, Md., has joined the SCORE Women’s Success Blog at www.score.org. This is the first blog from SCORE at the national level. Christine will offer her insights and advice on a variety of small business topics, including marketing, management and leadership issues.

Christine serves as vice president of corporate relations for SCORE "Counselors to America's Small Business," which provides free business mentoring and low-cost workshops to more than 300,000 aspiring and existing small business owners each year. She leads the Webby Award winning Web site, www.score.org, and she is responsible for public relations and marketing strategy, Web development, community outreach and segment target marketing.

Under her leadership, SCORE’s Web site visitors have grown from 405,000 in 2000 to 2.6 million people last year. Media coverage has nearly doubled from four years ago, and awareness of SCORE has increased substantially during her 13 years with SCORE.

Christine holds a Master’s Degree from American University in Washington, D.C., and a Bachelor’s Degree from Marietta College in Ohio. Christine earned the prestigious ABC certification from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and IABC. She is a past president of the IABC chapter in Washington, D.C.
