SCORE Names Noel Montesa Controller to Lead Finance & Administration

Washington, D.C.—SCORE “Counselors to America’s Small Business” names Noel Montesa of Manassas Park, VA, as controller at the SCORE Association office in Herndon, VA. Montesa is responsible for leading all financial functions, managing SCORE’s grant with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), overseeing SCORE’s budget and supervising office administration. 

 

With more than 25 years of association experience, Montesa brings an extensive knowledge of finance, accounting and management to SCORE. Most recently, he served as director of finance and administration for the American Roentgen Ray Society in Leesburg, VA. Prior to that, he was director of finance and administration for the Association of School Business Officials International in Reston, VA. 

 

“Noel brings to SCORE a wealth of administration and accounting expertise, as well as a commitment to volunteerism and community service,” says SCORE CEO Ken Yancey.  “Noel will play a vital role in the financial administration of SCORE’s federal grant.

 

Montesa earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and management at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. He is a Licensed Certified Public Accountant in Virginia. He has served on various community boards, including the Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission of Manassas Park. In addition, he was elected City Treasurer for Manassas Park, and he is a committee member on Ethics for the Virginia State Board of Accountancy.
