SCORE Names Keith Scott Director of Recruitment and Human Resources
Washington, D.C. — SCORE, America’s premier source of free and confidential small business advice for entrepreneurs, names Keith A. Scott of Harlingen, Texas as director of recruitment and human resources. Scott is responsible for developing and executing an integrated recruitment strategy for identifying new volunteers. He also serves as the lead staff person for all human resources (HR) and code of ethics issues.
Scott is a seasoned human resources leader and consultant with over 15 years experience among several Fortune 500 companies including Ford Motor Company, Texas Instruments, BP Amoco and NCR. His diverse human resources background also includes HR consulting for small businesses and non-profits.
Previously, Scott served as HR Director for IDEA Public Schools, one of the nations leading and fastest growing charter schools. At IDEA, he played a lead role in talent management and growing the organization 25% per year with recruitment of top talent while retaining 90% of talent. Prior to joining SCORE, Keith also served as a SCORE volunteer in the local Harlingen chapter.

Scott earned a MS degree in Human Resources and a BA degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has successfully completed entrepreneurial trainings at University of Texas Austin and Southern Methodist University. Scott is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the Society of Human Resources Management.
