SCORE Names John Fuqua Director of Finance
Washington, D.C. — SCORE, America’s premier source of free and confidential small business advice for entrepreneurs, names John Fuqua, of Washington, DC, as director of finance. Fuqua brings over two decades of financial management experience to SCORE.
Previously, Fuqua served as the chief financial officer for the D.C. Children & Youth Investment Trust Corporation which combined both public and private funds to offer programmatic support for Washington, D.C. youths. Earlier in his career, Fuqua served as the chief financial officer for Savant corporate where he oversaw all aspects of their finances, capital fundraising and M&A activities.
“John is a proven leader in supporting the financial needs of the organizations he has served,” says SCORE COO Devin Jopp. “His broad background in financial management will be a great asset to SCORE as we move towards our goal of growing one million small businesses in the next five years.”
Fuqua holds a BS degree in Multinational Finance from Florida State University and a MBA degree from George Washington University.
