Ronnie C. McClure of Double Oak Re-elected as Treasurer of

Washington, D.C.—Ronnie C. McClure of Double Oak, Texas, was re-elected to his position as treasurer of The SCORE Foundation. McClure is a Certified Public Accountant, and a former "Big Eight" tax partner who has extensive experience with foundation and nonprofit accounting. He began his new term on October 1, 2003.

The mission of The SCORE Foundation is to support and leverage the work of the SCORE Association “Counselors to America’s Small Business.” The SCORE Association provides free and confidential business advice and training to nearly 400,000 entrepreneurs each year. The SCORE Foundation raises funds to help the SCORE Association fulfill its mission of service to the small business community, through entrepreneur mentoring and training.

McClure is a founding faculty member at the American Institute of Philanthropic Studies at California State University at Long Beach, and a former member of the faculty at the University of North Texas, where he taught graduate tax accounting. He has written extensively on tax issues related to nonprofits and foundations.

Ken Yancey, executive director of The SCORE Foundation says, "Ronnie McClure's understanding of nonprofit and foundation accounting standards have served The SCORE Foundation well." Yancey adds, "His dedication helps ensure that The SCORE Foundation will continue its efforts in support of the work of the SCORE Association.”

McClure is a member of the Advisory Board of the Community Foundation of Texas, and chairs the Development Committee for Texas Health Research Institute. He is a former chair and charter member of the Exempt Organization section of the Dallas Key District Employee Plans and Exempt Organization Council. McClure has also served as a board member for the National Committee on Planned Giving, the North Texas Council of the National Committee on Planned Giving, Charitable Accord, and numerous other charitable organizations in North Texas.

The SCORE Foundation was formed in 2001. The SCORE Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, public charity dedicated to ensuring a lasting legacy of business counseling and training for successful American small businesses, by supporting the SCORE Association (www.score.org) and its volunteer corps.
