Paul Kopelcheck Becomes Chairman of the Board of National, Small Business Mentoring Organization

Washington, DC—Paul Kopelcheck begins a two-year term as the Chairman of the Board for the SCORE Association on October 1, 2006. SCORE is a national nonprofit, based in Washington, DC, that provides 400,000 small business coaching and training sessions annually.

Kopelcheck founded and was President & CEO of Acordia Personal Benefits, Inc., a national life and health product marketing and administration organization, which he took public in 1992. Prior to Acordia, he was the Executive Vice President of Columbian Financial Group of Binghamton, NY.

Earlier in his career, he served as the Vice President of Marketing for The Hartford Insurance Group of Hartford, CT. He is a former corporate executive with Aetna and a McKinsey and Company consultant. He resides in Hilton Head, SC.

Kopelcheck will head the nation’s leading, “free and confidential” small business mentoring service. SCORE provides both face-to-face and online business counseling and mentoring. SCORE offers mentoring and workshops through nearly 400 offices around the country.
