Patty DeDominic of Los Angeles Re-elected Vice Chair

Washington, D.C.—Patty DeDominic of Los Angeles, Calif., was re-elected vice chair of The SCORE Foundation. She will continue to build relationships and serve as an advocate for the work of the foundation. The SCORE Foundation is a nonprofit, public charity that serves as the philanthropic benefactor to the SCORE Association. DeDominic’s term began on October 1, 2003.

The SCORE Foundation’s mission is to support and leverage the work of the SCORE Association “Counselors to America’s Small Business.” The SCORE Association provides free and confidential business advice and training to nearly 400,000 entrepreneurs each year. The SCORE Foundation raises funds to help the SCORE Association fulfill its mission of service to the small business community, through entrepreneur mentoring and training.

DeDominic is CEO of PDQ Personnel Services, Inc., a company she founded in 1979. The company has grown into a multi-million dollar corporation. Its client list includes many of the world's leading organizations such as AT&T, TRW, The Aerospace Corporation, the University of Southern California and Children’s Hospital. DeDominic is a national leader on entrepreneurship and employment issues.

Ken Yancey, executive director of The SCORE Foundation, says, "We are fortunate to have someone with Patty DeDominic’s talents to serve as the vice chair of The SCORE Foundation." Yancey adds, "Her work in support of America’s entrepreneurs has been invaluable to the foundation.”

DeDominic has been recognized by Congress, as well as by labor and business organizations, for her outstanding contributions to business and human resources. She has led global teams on small business development, including to the United Nations Fourth World Conference on Women. She is a former chair of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, and has served as president of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), and on the boards of the California State Chamber of Commerce, and the American Red Cross. Currently, DeDominic is also a board director for the SCORE Association.

The SCORE Foundation was formed in 2001. The SCORE Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, public charity dedicated to ensuring a lasting legacy of business counseling and training for successful American small businesses, by supporting the SCORE Association (www.score.org) and its volunteer corps.
