Patty DeDominic of Los Angeles Elected Board Chair of The SCORE Foundation DeDominic to Expand Charitable Donations to National Nonprofit Organization

Washington, D.C.—Patty DeDominic of Los Angeles, Calif., takes office as the second board chair of The SCORE Foundation, a nonprofit organization that serves as the philanthropic benefactor to the SCORE Association. DeDominic’s term begins on October 1, 2004.

 

A tireless advocate for small business, DeDominic is the founder and CEO of the PDQ Careers Group of Companies, one of Los Angeles’ largest privately held staffing services. Its client list includes the University of Southern California, Wells Fargo Bank, Cedars Sinai Hospital, Western University, Boeing, local and state governments, and the country of Japan. DeDominic is an active community and national leader on entrepreneurship and employment issues.

 

The SCORE Foundation’s mission is to support and leverage the work of the SCORE Association, “Counselors to America’s Small Business.” The SCORE Association provides free and confidential business advice and training to more than 350,000 entrepreneurs each year. The SCORE Foundation raises funds to help the SCORE Association fulfill its mission of service to the small business community through entrepreneur mentoring and training.

Ken Yancey, executive director of The SCORE Foundation, says, "Patty DeDominic is a philanthropist dedicated to small business in America. DeDominic and her firm have been recognized by Congress, Governors, and labor and business organizations for outstanding contributions to business and employment issues. She has led global teams on small business development, including the United Nations Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing.

She is a former board chair of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, and has served as president of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and on the board of the California State Chamber of Commerce. Currently, DeDominic is a board director for the SCORE Association.

The SCORE Foundation was formed in 2001. The SCORE Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, public charity dedicated to ensuring a lasting legacy of business counseling and training for successful American small businesses by supporting the SCORE Association (www.score.org) and its volunteer corps.
