George Frame Begins Three-Year Term on SCORE Board of DirectorsFrame Brings Wide-Ranging Experience on Quality and Diversity Issues

Washington, D.C.—George Frame, Ford Motor Company executive director, Dealer Development, joins the SCORE Board of Directors. The SCORE Association "Counselors to America's Small Business" provides small business mentoring, as well as workshops and seminars, to more than 350,000 aspiring and existing small business owners. Frame’s term begins on October 1.

Frame recently worked with SCORE to support the highly successful Best Business Plan Contest, in cooperation with Ford and DiversityInc. The contest encouraged entrepreneurs and new business owners to submit a business plan that was judged on a number of objective criteria by a panel of SCORE business counselors. Frame personally conducted a nationwide radio tour promoting the competition and the SCORE/Ford partnership. At this year’s SCORE Chapter Chair Orientation, Frame discussed Ford’s community outreach through their dealer network.

According to SCORE CEO Ken Yancey, “SCORE is pleased to welcome George Frame to the SCORE Board of Directors. George’s experience with strengthening diversity at Ford and building successful networks is a perfect fit with SCORE’s mission of providing quality counseling to America’s entrepreneurs.”

Frame has spent over 30 years at Ford in finance positions covering both domestic and international operations. His current focus is on enhancing minority dealer operations in the more than 160 dealerships he oversees in the Dealer Development Program. He is a Director of the Automotive Industry Diversity Effort, and in 1998 he was named Executive of the Year by African American on Wheels magazine.

Since 1964, the SCORE Association has assisted more than 6.5 million aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners through counseling and business workshops. More than 10,500 volunteer business counselors serve their communities through entrepreneur education dedicated to the formation, growth and success of small businesses.
