Washington, D.C. — SCORE “Counselors to America’s Small Business” honors Deluxe Corporation (NYSE:DLX) and the Deluxe Corporation Foundation for dedication to small business success and deep commitment to supporting entrepreneurs as they start businesses and create jobs across America. David Hemler, president of Deluxe Small Business Services, will accept the SCORE Award for Outstanding Corporate Small Business Supporter and Advocate at the 2nd Annual SCORE Awards and black-tie gala.

Deluxe Corporation, the Deluxe Corporation Foundation and other SCORE Awards winners will be recognized during a September 16 event at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, D.C. Learn more at www.score.org/score_awards.html.

The Deluxe Corporation Foundation donated nearly half a million dollars to fund the creation and implementation of the Deluxe/SCORE Mentoring Program. The grant funds development of a mentoring process to significantly increase business survival rates and to create new jobs. The program will provide training, templates and processes that mentors can use to coach entrepreneurs and start-up businesses.

In addition, SCORE launched its first, online client community thanks to the in-kind support of PartnerUp, a Deluxe company. The SCORE Online Community is filled with SCORE experts who participate in discussions and answer questions. There is no cost to join the community at www.scorecommunity.org.

“Deluxe has long been committed to helping small businesses flourish, and in this spirit, we have partnered with SCORE in a number of ways, including our newly launched Project REV marketing lab,” said Lee Schram, CEO of Deluxe and president of the Deluxe Corporation Foundation. “Deluxe is honored by this recognition of our dedication to small business.”

SCORE CEO Ken Yancey says, “Deluxe Corporation and the Deluxe Corporation Foundation provide outstanding support to America‘s entrepreneurs and SCORE. By supporting volunteer mentoring, both in-person and online, Deluxe helps strengthen our nation‘s economy as we work to recover from the recession.” Yancey adds, “SCORE salutes Deluxe for supporting SCORE’s mentoring and resources that make a difference in the success of hundreds of thousands of small businesses each year.
