Broward Score introduces its Programs to National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO)

Published August 17, 2012

On August 6, 2012 Broward SCORE met with the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Volunteer Dave Harris made a presentation to local membership about SCORE. Mr. Harris explained SCORE capabilities to provide support to business owners via:

  • One-on-one counseling -  either face-to-face or on-line
  • Broward SCORE’s extensive workshop program
  • Broward SCORE’s Turnaround Program

Mr. Harris also introduced Broward SCORE’s newest program – SCOREBOARD 17. This innovative program provides a small business with a Board of Advisors made up of 4 SCORE volunteers with senior executive experience in large privately owned or corporate companies. The Board meets with the business owners 4 times a year to review performance, issues and opportunities and to give advice, guidance and support on moving the company forward.

Broward SCORE Chairman George Gremse and Mr. Harris answered questions and encouraged an ongoing relationship between SCORE and NAWBO.
