I have worked in manufacturing, retail and over thirty-three years as a small business mentor in a vocational adult program for start up businesses and those already in business. In this capacity, the businesses attended class twice a month and then we had one-on-one training at the business location covering all aspects of managing a more successful business. Also, held many other training sessions open to the public for business related topics. Mentored many minority/women owned businesses and folks wanting to go into a non-profit business. Main goal has been to help these people succeed in either starting or managing their own business to be successful. Been married 45 years to the same great lady. Have been a Score member now for 25 years and received Score's Certified Mentoring Certificate of Recognition in 2012. Currently. A Manta member for three years as owner of Ohio Business Institute, A Linkedln member for four years. When in education I was a chairperson of several committees working with the State of Ohio Adult educational organizations receiving several outstanding membership awards. Also received form Score several years ago their award for one of the top ten counselors in the state. Former member of the Mansfield and Ashland local Chambers of Commerce’s and a local business to business referral group. |

Graduated from a local high school, have a Bachelors’ of Science in Business Administration with majors in Marketing and Management from Ashland University, Masters in Business Education from Bowling Green University in Ohio. Had been a SCORE member for 23 years before retiring, rejoined two years ago and do online internet mentoring. I also was an active member of various state of Ohio Educational organizations and two local Chamber of Commerce’s. Plus attending many workshops and seminars dealing with small businesses over the years and I still attend business related programs to keep up to date as much as possible when new ideas and concepts come up.
