Over 35 years of experience in international trade, importing and exporting. Established international joint ventures in a number of different industries and markets. Has lived in Guam, Pakistan, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan and the Philippines and has worked in virtually every market in Asia as well as Germany, England and Denmark. Subsequent to being Vice President, Asia for one of America’s largest international trading companies established a joint venture company in Taiwan to represent a variety of American manufacturers in that market as well as nearby countries. Experience includes developing and executing marketing plans for wide range of both consumer and industrial products distributed throughout Asia, establishing joint venture companies and locating sources of supply for American importers. Additionally has served as President of both the American Chamber of Commerce and The American Club in Taiwan and as a director of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines. Has also testified before the Joint Economic Committee of the U.S. Congress on trade related matters.
