Retired, active in both the Detroit (#18) and the Tucson (Southern AZ #689) SCORE Chapters all year long.  Snowbird from Michigan, live in the Tucson area from mid-November until May 1 each year.   Immigrant, arrived in the USA from The Netherlands as a 19-year old. Worked as a mechanical/systems engineer in small to medium sized business.   Purchased the (nearly bankrupt) custom machinery manufacturing biz from my employers.   Built the biz from less then 1 to 6 million, brought in an outside manager (president) and nearly lost the biz to bankruptcy.   Sold the company in 2000 and continue to do some consulting and engineering.
