Academia ~ MIS (Management Information Systems), Websites, and IT support (e.g., xANs, Linux and Microsoft PCs, servers, router(s)/ switch(s) to further maintain networking support for academic administration and student databases, applications, websites and other computing systems. Duties include (the monitoring of): Academic Structure, courses and classrooms are examples; Curriculum Assignments by Scheme and Pupil, via an intranet; creating Evaluation tools and templates from pre-established data set(s); Academic and Pupil Details; entering data for general attendance and registration; etc. Duties also included working with: Guidance Office management to set academic standards and policy, Assistant Academic manager to establish coursework delivery systems and standards; and, Academic Director on mission/goals/objective statements. Corporate ~ Work deployment and migration contracts to include remote tools and applications such as Citrix and LogMeIn applications for companies such as: Washington Mutual, Kaiser Permanente, LaTable, EDM, Bentley Inc., Qwest (now Century Link), etc. Deployed and migrated computing upgrade projects newly installing and/or refurbishing PC/servers with varying operating systems on Linux/UNIX and Microsoft platforms. Other tasks include ACLs troubleshooting, running scripts for security programs to include SUS updates; swapping hardware components, and other tasks as needed for project success. Utilized WINS/DNS and assigned groups and permissions, to include creating shared group and user accounts in Active Directory facilitated by Aleita network management tool for Internet, intranet and extranet site management; installed, configured, and troubleshoot VoIP (Spectrum, Metrocall) over T1 lines and various xANs (e.g., LANs, WANs, W-WANs, etc.). On an as needed basis, Cisco configurations to include IOS installs and resetting routers and switches. Organizations ~ As a Board member tasked with maintaining and increasing membership and client base. Responsibilities include: maintaining websites(s) as a source of information and updates; designing training labs models; coordinating/managing training lab teams; designing organizational strategies with other Board members/directors; analyzing the use of Oracle products with related technologies; working to use social media for organizational informational needs; networking with/on outside organizational technical committees to determine appropriate internal and state-of-the-art technologies that might be used in technical training models and to recruit members; and, other duties as assigned. |
