Overview
This workshop will provide employers a basic overview of the quagmire of laws that govern the workplace. This workshop will address some of the basic elements of a number potential legal issues that can arise in an employment context. Topics discussed will include, unemployment compensation, employment discrimination, fair wage, worker's compensation, employment agreements, and employees in the military. Participants will leave the workshop able to identify workplace matters that may give rise to future legal problems, and a few tools that may help to avoid such problems.
Zachariah Evangelista is the principal and founder ofEvangelista Law, P.A. The firmfocuses its practice on assisting businesses on a variety of legal matters. Thefirm also dedicates part of its practice to assisting non-profits. Zachariah earned his law degree withhonors from Florida International University.
Prior to beginning his law career Zachariah worked at the City of Miami, where he collaborated with a number of non-profit's to provide various programs to children in the City's Parks. Zachariah also has a Master's in Public Administration.
