Social Media for Small Business

Social media provide effective and low-cost global communication channels for many small businesses. This is a basic course for those who may have some experience with social media but wish to understand how it’s used in the business world, and whether social media are appropriate for their target audience. Uses of social media (e.g. blogs, Twitter, Facebook) vs. digital media (e.g. websites, YouTube, webinars) will be reviewed. Social media success stories and Do’s/Don’ts will also be discussed.
Seminar Leader: Brinda Wiita, PhD, has conducted clinical research in numerous behavioral and medical conditions. She also possesses extensive business experience developing and marketing pharmaceutical and consumer products at major firms. Currently, she serves as Open Innovation champion at a leading global healthcare company.
