Transfer of knowledge in client diagnosis, and insights given into use of management accounting was accomplished. The companies included polygraphic manufacturing, radio broadcasting, chicken farming [egg production], stucco production, semi-precious stone conversion to gifts & jewelry, wood gift manufacturing, soft drink bottling, beauty & cosmetology parlor, cotton socks & hosiery manufacturing, recreation/restaurant development, a medical center, advertising & information agency, construction, freight forwarding, and processing & canning of agricultural produce. Customer Service and Sales & Selling PowerPoint presentations were developed for use as tool box items for local Pragma staff and deliverables to clients in Central Asia.

2003 Atyrau, Kazakhstan. Interacted with and advised 25 separate manufacturing, energy/oil drilling, dairy processing, distributor, and retail companies in various capacities including coordinating regional and international joint venture relationships. Counseled the clients in all aspects of operational practices; Sales & Marketing, Organizational Structure, Financial Management, Human Resource management, and Customer Service. Facilitated and guided a Joint Venture proposal between an energy company and Small Enterprise Assistance Fund [SEAF]. Worked with the local Pragma Corp. management and staff toward the compilation of an internal plan for client management and follow up. This Plan included a reorganization of staff functions and training of local nationals in consulting techniques.

Worked in various capacities with 26 individual manufacturing, construction, retail establishments, consulting companies, hog grower/sausage production, honey processing, animal [marels] raiser, and 1 private school. Assisted in Strategic Planning, Sales & Marketing, Management, Organizational Structures, & Financial Planning, Business Planning. Trained local nationals in Business Consulting and Needs Diagnosis through practical on-the-job experiences.. 2002 Uralsk, Kazakhstan. Trained local nationals and worked with 29 manufacturing, distribution, construction, slaughter houses, farmers’ co-op, retail companies and 1 University. Mark is a CPA with a BBA in Accounting from the University of Texas in Austin. He worked in public accounting (mostly tax and auditing) and then Houston Natural Gas (mostly economic feasibility studies and SEC work).  From there, he went to Rowan Companies Inc. and spent most of his time there as the Corporate Secretary and also handled many SEC matters.    He was the founding President of the Houston Chapter of Active Corps of Executives (a brother organization to SCORE) back in the 1970s and is presently the SCORE Southeast Texas District Director.  He has been retired since 2006.
