Washington DC - SCORE, mentors to America’s small business, and Bank of America announced today a new set of training resources to help entrepreneurs spur the development and growth of new ventures. “Simple Steps for Starting Your Business” is a 5-part series of 3-hour workshops designed to give participants the tools, information and advice they need to succeed. The new program will help start-ups learn how to identify funding sources and cash flow, discover market opportunities, and plan a marketing approach.

Norman Paige, SCORE District Director for South Carolina, honored Grand Strand SCORE Chapter 381 by naming them South Carolina Chapter of the Year for 2008. Mr. Paige said that while 2007 was a banner year for the chapter, 2008 was still better. He noted a continued increase of services provided to the community as well as, increased online counseling for clients nationwide.
