Dal Corsaro

Current City: palos verdes estates, CA

I was owner and president of Corsaro Produce Inc for thirty years, a broad line distributor with annual sales of 22 million dollars, specializing in supplying 80% of the product needs to multi-unit accounts and the produce needs to theme parks. We were one of the pioneers in vegetable processing of table ready fruit and vegetables for the food service industry. I sold my company to Collins Food Services where I held the position of Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Collins Foods Services. Collins Food Services was the subsidiary of the Sizzler Restaurant Chain and we owned five distribution centers in the Western US. After retiring, I consulted in the restaurant industry and food distribution industry which included food marketing, food purchasing, purchasing systems, restaurant operations, warehousing and distribution, and I was responsible in the turn around of a large wholesale bakery. My next ten years were spent in the Marketing Department of SYSCO Foodservice Los Angeles where I was occupied with the marketing of produce and participated in the training of over 200 salespersons in the selling and marketing of all food products.
