Bob’s career included 40 years in the Semiconductor Industry. During that time he worked for a Fortune 500 company as well as two smaller companies. He began as an applications engineer and then sales engineer, and  rose to director of marketing and world wide sales. Bob has had P & L responsibility for discrete, hybrid and integrated circuits. He also directed various manufacturing operations in the USA and Internationally. He successfully managed a multi-million dollar ground water contamination project. Before joining SCORE 10 years ago, he was a managing consultant for a consulting company focused on northern California’s small and medium sized manufacturers. While there he provided consulting guidance to clients seeking funding, marketing planning and manufacturing efficiencies. Bob has also been involved with several non-profit corporations as CFO and Treasurer and served as a reviewer for major government and state grants.  His skills include B2B marketing,strategic planning, manufactuing, international supply chain management and project management.

Fouteen years with Reader's Digest as Senior Operations Director. Managed Department with responsiblities in Marketing, Printing, Purchasing, Direct Mail, Logistics. Twenty Five years in several senior management positions at the largest magazine printing company in the USA, known as McCall Printing Co. and later as Dayton Press.(no longer in existence). Served in Air Force for 28 years mostly in reserves. Retired as Colonel. Headed reserve unit to counsel young men and women who had interest in the Air Force Academy.

I’m a “generalist” who can give you input on starting your own business, writing your business plan, and so forth. I also know the basics of starting a non-profit and can help you administratively. (I’m NOT an expert on grants.)

Mr Bose has over 30 years of manufacturing and operations experience with GE and Stryker Medical, as well as with his own consulting firm.  As a consultant and project leader, he successfully work on various strategy or implementation projects for such organizations as GE, Ford, Bristol Myers Squibb, Johnson & Johnson, US Steel and Mattel/Fisher-Price, to name a few.

He is the principal of his own consulting firm, which delivers policy and systems solutions in the areas of Lean Six Sigma, Supply Chain Management, Quality, Team Building and Management Systems to small and mid-sized companies.
