Christine Banning, Vice President Marketing & Communications SCORE "Counselors to America's Small Business"
Christine Banning is vice president of marketing and communications for SCORE, a national nonprofit organization that provides free, business counseling to America's small business community. Banning is responsible for strategic brand management, marketing, marketing alliances, public relations, and communications leadership.
Banning leads the branding effort that today includes the campaign Live Your Dream. SCORE Can Help. She is responsible for SCORE's Web sites for clients and volunteers. She has successfully led SCORE's digital marketing strategy. She is responsible for a national marketing program that provides support to SCORE offices nationwide and a media outreach program generating more than 12,000 news & feature stories reaching 660 million annually.
Banning speaks nationally on the topics of branding, entrepreneurship, small business identity and marketing. She has presented at conferences for the American Business Women's Association (ABWA) and American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).
Banning is a member of ASAE and earned the CAE certification from ASAE. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). She earned IABC's accreditation the ABC designation. She is a past board president, board vice president and board member of IABC/Washington.
She serves on the Board of Directors for Dress for Success, Washington, DC. She is a member of the governance committee and chairs the nominating committee. She blogs for the SCORE Women's Success Blog.
Banning earned a bachelor's degree in public relations from Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio. She earned her graduate degree, in public communication, from The American University in Washington, D.C.
